So you want to make a tap follower? Perfect. Here are the drawings I used to make the tap follower in this video.
These drawings have been updated with the changes I made in the video including the correct Morse Taper #3 diameter and changing to a straight knurl.
The original intent was to make everything from tool steel (I used A2) so that parts could be hardened for wear resistance. Especially the plunger tip.
