So you want to make your own set of interchangeable soft jaws? Excellent. Here are the drawings I used to make in this video.
Designed to fit chuck jaws 1.063″ wide (side to side) x 1.1″ long (clamping face to clamping face) x 0.6″ deep (outermost jaw element).
Soft inserts are not shown but are simply a round rod 1.125″ long and 0.0005″ to 0.0010″ larger diameter than the bore. And of course some chamfers!
In addition to raw materials you will need:
(4) Set Screw, 5/16″-18 x 0.5″LG
