Description

So you want to make a rotary fixture plate so you don’t have to drag out a giant rotary table? Excellent. Here are the drawings I used in this video.

These are the plans as drawn for the vise mountable rotary fixture plate. I’ve also included drawings for the dovetail slides even though they could use some improvements. Perhaps one of you may find a better way!

Most of the materials I used and have listed on the drawings aren’t strictly required (i.e. the tool steels), I just used blanks I had available at the time. But if you have any questions on alternatives just ask!

Along with raw materials the following hardware is needed:

(5) SHCS, 5/16″-18 x 1-1/2″LG, BLK OX (for vise block)

(2) SHCS, 1/4″-20 x 1-1/4″LG, BLK OX (for stop locks)

(2) SHCS, 1/4″-20 x 1″LG, BLK OX (for stop adjust)

(2) SHCS, 1/4″-20 x 0.75″LG, BLK OX (for dovetail slides)

(5) SHCS, #10-32 x 3/4″, BLK OX (for bushing and collar

Of course if you end up making one of these I’d love to see!
